All I once held dear built my life upon
All this world reveres, and wars to own
All I once thought gain I have counted loss
Spent and worthless now, compared to this
Knowing you, Jesus knowing you
There is no greater thing
You're my all you're the best
You're my joy, my righteousness
And I love you ,lord
Now my heart's desire is to know you more
To be found in you, and known as yours
To possess by faith what I could not earn
All surpassing gift of righteousness
Oh to know the power of your risen life
And to know you in your suffering
To become like you in your death my Lord
So with You to live
And never die

But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:7-12 NIV

Cos I'll remember everything you sang.
Was it you who spoke the words that things would happen but not to me
Oh things are gonna happen naturally
Oh taking your advice I'm looking on the bright side
And balancing the whole thing
But often times those words get tangled up in lines
And the bright lights turn to night
Until the dawn it brings
Another day to sing about the magic that was you and me
Cause you and I both loved
What you and I spoke of
And others just read of
Others only read of the love, the love that I love.
See I'm all about them words
Over numbers, unencumbered numbered words
Hundreds of pages, pages, pages forwards
More words then I had ever heard and I feel so alive
You and I, you and I
Not so little you and I anymore
And with this silence brings a moral story
More importantly evolving is the glory of a boy
Cause you and I both loved
What you and I spoke of
And others just dream of
And if you could see me now
Well I'm almost finally out of
I'm finally out of
Finally deedeedeedee
Well I'm almost finally, finally
Well I'm free, oh, I'm free
And it's okay if you have go away
Oh just remember the telephone works both ways
And if I never ever hear them ring
If nothing else I'll think the bells inside
Have finally found you someone else and that's okay
Cause I'll remember everything you sang
Cause you and I both loved what you and I spoke of
and others just read of and if you could see now
well I'm almost finally out of.
I'm finally out of, finally, deedeeededede
well I'm almost finally, finally, finally out of words.

Because I've never heard of Lana Cakes in Singapore, I went to google for it. To my surprise, it brought me to this site called hungrygowhere.com. It is so obviously Singaporean. I'm just quite amused by it.
PLUS! It's got sites for Malaysia, Sydney and Melbourne! Mann!
Eh hungry, go where ah?

I was just thinking, how far would the Internet grow with me and my generation? Will it ever become obsolete like the minidisc or floppy drive? Will I actually live to 50 and still be blogging? How would the internet change? Will it still be on tangible screens or will some device be plugged into our eyes for access to the hypertext realm?
Maybe I'm thinking too much. I better back up my posts and files just in case the Internet will crash because some fella pulled the plug on it.

note to self
From a man who's well beyond his years and I dearly respect,
G once told me to fight for things that are worth it.
The spread of the good news. Sexual purity. Justice and Compassion. K.
These are worth fighting for. Every morning when I wake up, I remind myself that I am no longer my own anymore. My identity is no longer found in myself, but found in the one who has redeemed me at a price. I look at the people around me as well and I realise that I am no longer my own. I grow from being dependent to independent to being interdependent. I am no longer just JC…. I am a son to my Father in heaven, a son to my earthly parents, a student, an employee to my supervisor, a friend and boyfriend, a leader of men. All these things change and shape the way I live.
I learn to grow up, to take responsibility, to love others, to deny myself, to take up the path or drink the cup that is given unto me.
Only when we lose our lives, then will we find it.

If you don't know what Sharpies are, here. This man took $10 worth of Sharpies and transformed his basement into a world of hand-drawn comics.

For the first time in 6 months, I'm going running on my own accord. Soccer doesn't count as running. I think the prime motivation is merely NS in the next possible 3 months.
Be right back.

If you don't understand the recent buzz about Wall Street and financial jiberydo, Kevin Nguyen from The Bygone Bureau explains it to his fourteen year old sister. Maybe you'd like to have a read too.

Lately I've been finding it hard to make ends meet. So as most university students do, I scrimp, save, sell whatever I can and beg find jobs.
The Australian dollar has finally recovered whatever little it could against the US dollar just to make it more worthy. And with the white space loitering around this site, I've decided to make the most out of it by selling real estate for advertising. As a marketing undergraduate, this could very well be a learning experience for me.
So for all who want to advertise something, do come find me, I'll give you a student deal (hahaha). I've already got my first client (which really really took me by surprise), so you'll see new stuff coming this way.
By the way, I do design jobs for print and websites as well. If you need me, call me (:

Lately I've been notified of certain active stalker behaviours. And mostly it is due to plain stupidity or pure ignorance on the victim's part - they actually confessed to me. So here I've come up with 5 ways to repel stalker behaviours. This is not just for the female readers, cause I understand that there are guys (perhaps not like myself) who are casualties.

She's very cautious when it comes to the dance floor.
There are 2 things I won't do in public.
One, I won't sing. Two, I won't dance.
I think girls shouldn't flaunt their bodies so readily on the dance floor.
Yea I think so too.
That's why I respect you.

As compared to back in 2004, this year's election promises a great deal of entertainment value. I know I shouldn't be taking such an important global issue for jokes, but I must say I really enjoy them. Follies aside, anybody living on this planet should be bothered by the election of, what they call, "the most powerful man in the world". It's your business too.
Thanks to campaigns and "obama-washing", McCain and team are trailing behind on the gallup poll. But I must admit, as a design savvy techie myself, Obama's campaign produces design which are far more appealing. So perhaps when it comes to power battles, design have a stake in it.
For those who have been buried under the books, or you're a first year to politics, CNN's replay and video transcipt of the second presidential debates at Belmont University will give you a glimpse of November 4th.
There've been heaps of Obama designs going around the internet and here's just one of them.
